Ahead of the Coppa Italia final against Roma, Juventus Women`s coach Massimiliano Canzi and player Martina Rosucci spoke about the upcoming match.
Martina Rosucci began:
“It will be a very tough and beautiful match against Roma, who will be looking for redemption. We`ve had a stratospheric season, and we`ve been focused in training this week. This trophy is one of our goals, and we have great motivation. Playing here in Como, in a beautiful and stimulating stadium, is wonderful; I congratulate the club for their Serie A season. Tomorrow, the mental aspect will be important; it`s a final, it prepares itself. It holds great significance for us. As for the national team, I`ve always dreamed of wearing the Azzurra shirt and I`m proud. But first, let`s experience this final, and then we`ll focus on that goal.”
Massimiliano Canzi followed:
“Our objective at the start of the year was to qualify for the Champions League and progress in the Coppa Italia. We went beyond that by also winning the Scudetto. The journey to the Coppa Italia final has been complicated but stimulating, a beautiful trip that brought us here. The preparation has gone well; I`m fortunate to have girls who have won a lot alongside me. They`ve helped me prepare for the match; we`re a great group of wonderful girls. We`ve made this journey together. Playing here in Como is magnificent; Como is one of the best locations in Italy. It`s pleasing to know the stadium will be full. We`ve prepared the match well and are ready to battle. For Juventus, only one thing matters: winning. Roma is a great team with an excellent coach; matches against them are always hard-fought.”
