Lazio`s coach, Marco Baroni, speaking to Dazn after the derby draw with Roma, stated, “Roma didn`t create many chances. It`s a shame because we put in a lot of effort today and created numerous opportunities, but these are the games where you also need a bit of luck. We deserved this victory, but we`ll take the draw because the team gave everything, finding energy thanks to the support of the fans.”
Regarding the Champions League ambition, Baroni emphasized, “This team is growing, and we aim to be protagonists until the end, doing so through what the team builds. I am confident we will achieve this.”
Looking ahead to Thursday`s Europa League match against Bodo/Glimt, he added, “We all need to believe, just like we did today. We need the energy of our fans; we believe in progressing to the next round. Perhaps we faced them in their toughest game, on an artificial pitch against a team in their second league game, maintaining incredible intensity levels.”
“We know very well that it will be a different game here at home, I am certain of it, I believe in it, and therefore we have to play our game. We must not make any mistakes, but we can do it,” Baroni concluded.
