La Marca: “Juventus Should Sign Conceição Permanently. David Would Be a Significant Coup”

Football expert Domenico La Marca recently offered his insights on current football matters, including Juventus` performance and market strategies for both Juventus and Napoli.

Discussing Juventus` progress in the Club World Cup, La Marca stated: “The Club World Cup is proving beneficial for Juventus. Although the opponents aren`t top-tier, the team is not only winning but doing so with convincing play, which is significant after a season of inconsistent form. This competition is particularly valuable for highlighting the potential of young talents crucial for Juventus` present and future. I specifically mean Yildiz and Conceição. Yildiz, after a transitional year with flashes of brilliance and inevitable difficulties, is showing surprising technical maturity. At this stage of the tournament, he looks ready to become a key reference point for the Bianconeri attack. Conceição, prominent early in the season but then somewhat overshadowed by the team`s general dip, seems revitalized under Tudor. He`s demonstrating significant physical and technical qualities, and Juventus would do well – as rumored – to sign him permanently, as he could truly be a fundamental piece for the future. These two young players are key to building a strong and sustainable team for years. Regardless of the final outcome, the Club World Cup is offering valuable insights.”

Commenting on Napoli`s market approach and the tendency for clubs to raise prices knowing their financial stability, La Marca observed: “Napoli is operating smartly and correctly at the start of this transfer window. They acted early by signing young Marianucci, who shows great promise, and did so at a low cost, indicating a forward-thinking approach. More significantly, they`ve already secured what appears to be the most sensational signing of Serie A: Kevin De Bruyne. He`s an absolute champion who can transform the team and provide a major mental boost. Unlike many clubs, Napoli possesses financial stability, allowing them to invest without being forced to sell key players. However, this also leads to a predictable consequence: many clubs raise their asking prices knowing Napoli has resources. For this very reason, the management is demonstrating great clarity, moving cautiously, avoiding excessive spending, and particularly being careful not to overpay. The numerous names linked to Napoli lately suggest meticulous planning. Simultaneously, this might also be a strategy: keeping multiple options open to prevent negotiations from becoming complicated or prices from escalating too much. In a market often driven by big names and announcements, Napoli seems focused on building something solid, lasting, strong, and sustainable over time.”

Regarding Napoli`s increasing focus on the Premier League market, La Marca commented: “Napoli showed last season just how impactful players from the Premier League can be, especially under a coach like Antonio Conte who can maximize their performance. Scott McTominay was the best player in Serie A; his impact was simply devastating, becoming a technical, tactical, and character reference point for the team. With the arrival of Kevin De Bruyne, a dominant midfielder both in the Premier League and in European competition, Napoli has confirmed its desire to target top-tier profiles ready to make a difference. In this light, if new opportunities arise in the market, the club could continue down this path. Names like Darwin Núñez and Jadon Sancho represent profiles of great value and potential; they could find the ideal environment in Naples to perform at their best. Possessing raw talent and above-average technical quality but showing inconsistency so far, in a tactically structured system like Conte`s, and with the support of a warm and ambitious environment like Naples, they could finally explode. Both would have the ideal characteristics to become devastating players in our league.”

Evaluating Noa Lang as a potential target for Napoli, La Marca suggested: “A talent like Noa Lang would electrify the Maradona Stadium with his spectacular play and unpredictable flair. He`s a player capable of igniting a match with blistering acceleration and sharp dribbling, able to beat a defender like few others in Europe. This season at PSV, Lang achieved a `double-double` in goals and assists, proving decisive in both the Eredivisie and internationally. His performance against Juventus in the Champions League was emblematic, providing the assist for PSV`s first goal and being crucial to their progression to the knockout stage. Imagining him at Antonio Conte`s Napoli opens exciting possibilities. In a system based on intensity, verticality, and quick transitions, Lang could thrive as a wide attacker, leveraging his explosiveness in space and ability to create numerical superiority. Under a demanding coach like Conte, he could gain the tactical maturity needed to become an absolute star in Serie A.”

Regarding Jonathan David for Juventus, La Marca stated: “Jonathan David joining Juventus would be a significant acquisition, especially considering the young, talented, and dynamic approach the club is taking in building its new attacking department. In the Club World Cup, we`re already seeing the potential of players like Yıldız and Conceição, and adding a forward like David—mobile, intelligent in his movement, and consistently clinical in front of goal—would add further solidity and unpredictability to the attack. He`s a player who has scored double-digit goals in Ligue 1 for five consecutive seasons, demonstrating consistent scoring ability and maturity. His presence, alongside Kolo Muani (if his loan could be renewed), would provide Juventus with two mobile strikers capable of dropping deep and attacking space, ideal for fast, vertical football. A pairing like David–Kolo Muani would open up versatile and modern tactical solutions, adaptable to both a 3-5-2 and a 4-3-3, offering the team depth runs and quick technical combinations. From a future perspective, this would be a potentially top-tier European attack.”
