La Juventus vola in Borsa dopo il pari di Bologna

The Milan Stock Exchange concluded today`s session in positive territory, showing gains within a varied European landscape. With the London market and major Asian markets closed for holidays, investors remained watchful for developments on international trade matters.

The Milan main index, the Ftse Mib, advanced by 0.39%, consolidating its position above the psychological threshold of 38,000 points.

Across the continent, Frankfurt`s Dax index stood out with a 1.12% increase, reaching 23,344 points. Conversely, Paris saw its Cac 40 index retreat by 0.55%, settling at 7,727 points. With the English market closed for a holiday, Madrid`s Ibex moved up by 0.53%, bringing the index to 13,514 points.

In the bond market, the differential between Italian BTPs and German Bunds narrowed to 108.6 basis points, down from 110 at the open. The yield on the Italian ten-year bond decreased by over 3 basis points, standing at 3.6%.

On the currency front, the Euro showed a slight appreciation against the US Dollar, gaining 0.20%. Gold experienced a particularly strong session, jumping by 2.35%. Crude oil (Light Sweet Crude Oil), however, suffered a significant setback, losing 2.70% and sliding to $56.72 per barrel, a consequence of recent OPEC+ decisions.

Within the main basket of Piazza Affari (Milan Stock Exchange), notable performances included Generali (+3.22%), followed by Unipol (+2.68%), and Mediobanca (+1.92%). Mediobanca recently launched a takeover bid for Banca Generali, which also saw a rise (+2.91%). DiaSorin also performed well, advancing by 1.72%.

In the banking sector, ahead of their results publications, Intesa Sanpaolo registered a gain of 0.98%, while Unicredit shares fell by 1.25%. Banco Bpm (-0.44%) and Monte dei Paschi (-0.33%) also ended in negative territory.

Among other stocks under pressure were STMicroelectronics (-1.09%), Saipem (-1.06%), and Buzzi (-0.92%).

In the FTSE MidCap segment, Juventus showed an excellent performance, soaring by 4.87% the day after their draw against Bologna. Lottomatica (+3.46%) and LU-VE Group (+3.27%) also shone. Conversely, the most significant declines affected Sesa (-2.45%), Garofalo Health Care (-1.14%), and Lazio (-0.91%).
