Kawasaki Frontale Eliminate Al Nassr in Thrilling AFC Champions League Semi-Final

Al Nassr, featuring star player Cristiano Ronaldo and managed by Stefano Pioli, faced bitter disappointment after being eliminated from the AFC Champions League semi-finals. The Saudi team suffered a 3-2 defeat against Japanese side Kawasaki Frontale in a dramatic encounter.

This victory sends Kawasaki Frontale through to Saturday`s final, where they will compete against fellow Saudi club Al Ahli, whose squad includes players like Firmino and Kessié.

Kawasaki took an early lead in the 10th minute through Ito. Al Nassr managed to equalize in the 28th minute thanks to former Liverpool forward Sadio Mané. However, Kawasaki quickly regained their advantage before halftime, with Ozeki scoring in the 41st minute.

Frontale extended their lead in the second half when Ienaga found the net in the 76th minute (31st minute of the second half). Al Nassr`s Yahya pulled one back for the home side three minutes from the final whistle, making the score 3-2 and setting up a tense finish.

In the closing stages, Al Nassr pushed for an equalizer, creating late chances. Jhon Duran missed a notable opportunity, and Kawasaki goalkeeper Yamaguchi made a crucial save in stoppage time to deny Cristiano Ronaldo, sealing his team`s passage to the final.

Cristiano Ronaldo`s disappointment was clearly visible at the end of the match. He left the field shaking his head and displaying a visibly frustrated expression. The defeat means Ronaldo is still awaiting his first trophy since joining Al Nassr.
