Juventus Stock Ends Week on a Positive Note

The Milan Stock Exchange experienced a particularly vibrant session, propelled by a surge of buying activity that impacted all major European indices. This optimism was largely fueled by positive developments regarding trade negotiations between the United States and China. The leading Ftse Mib index concluded the day with a 1.92% increase, reaching 38,327 points.

Across the European landscape, the German market distinguished itself as the best performer, with Frankfurt closing the day up by 2.62%. Excellent results were also seen in Paris, which advanced by 2.33%, and Amsterdam, marking a 2.25% rise. While more modest, Madrid (+1.20%) and London (+1.17%) also posted positive figures.

The spread between the Italian 10-year BTP and the German Bund remained largely stable, finishing at 111 basis points compared to 110 at the opening. The yield on Italian government bonds settled at 3.63%.

In the currency market, the Euro showed a slight appreciation against the US Dollar, gaining 0.40%.

Regarding commodities, natural gas traded on the Amsterdam market saw a 2.8% increase, reaching 33 Euros per Megawatt-hour. Oil moved in the opposite direction, experiencing a 1.87% decline, falling below 59 dollars a barrel to 58.13 dollars. Gold, however, gained approximately 1%, rising to 3,260 dollars per ounce.


Among the top-performing stocks on Milan`s Piazza Affari, Prysmian led the way with a leap of 6.30%, closing at 50.9 Euros. Strong results were also recorded for Interpump (+5.19%), Leonardo (+5.13%), and STMicroelectronics (+4.21%).

In the banking sector, Unicredit stood out with an increase of 3.24%, followed by Monte dei Paschi di Siena (+2.20%), Banca Generali (+2.11%), and Mediobanca (+1.25%).

On the negative side, DiaSorin closed down by 1.49%, while Terna registered a decrease of 1.28%. Smaller losses were noted for Italgas (-1.1%) and Snam (-0.75%).

Among mid-capitalization stocks, notable performers included WIIT (+7.14%), Danieli (+6.60%), Carel Industries (+5.66%), and TXT E-solutions (+5.24%). Stocks in negative territory included Garofalo Health Care (-2.04%), followed by Alerion Clean Power (-0.86%) and Newlat Food (-0.82%).

Within the football sector, Juventus concluded the trading session with a modest 0.78% increase, while Lazio saw a more significant rise of 4.50%.
