Juventus Interested in Reijnders, Faces Competition

Why Reijnders Could Benefit Spalletti's Juventus

The interest in Reijnders is further amplified by Juventus's recent performance against Inter Milan. The Bianconeri's midfield struggled with rhythm and reactivity, making several avoidable technical errors. Reijnders would bring different qualities to the team: dynamism, the ability to support attacks, ball-playing skills, and crucially, the speed to transition the ball from their own half into the final third. These are precisely the attributes that Luciano Spalletti's Juventus could utilize to quickly increase the tempo in the midfield. Furthermore, the Dutch international is already familiar with Serie A, meaning he would require a significantly shorter adaptation period compared to other foreign targets.

According to the Daily Mail, Nottingham Forest has also shown concrete interest in the midfielder and might hold a decisive advantage: their willingness to consider a permanent transfer. Reijnders is reportedly valued at around €64 million, a figure considerably higher than Juventus's initial strategy of seeking a loan. Manchester City, who acquired him in the summer of 2025 for approximately €55 million, might prefer a sale that guarantees a significant financial return.

The player's openness to returning to Italy could be an advantage, but it's unlikely to be sufficient if Juventus cannot present a convincing offer to Manchester City.
