European Markets Mixed: Juventus, Stellantis Decline; Ferrari Gains

Piazza Affari finished trading up 0.8%, in line with European markets. The BTP-Bund spread narrowed to 86 points, and oil prices fell. Prysmian saw an increase, while Stellantis retreated.

Milan's stock market, along with other major European exchanges, experienced a positive trading session. Lower oil prices and easing bond yields supported the markets. Investors remain focused on potential signals from the U.S. Federal Reserve. In Milan, the Ftse Mib index concluded trading with a 0.8% gain, reaching 51,969 points.

European Bourses Rise; Paris Up 0.62%

Other leading European financial centers also closed in positive territory. Paris advanced by 0.62% to 8,140 points. Frankfurt and Madrid each gained 0.53%, closing at 25,537 and 19,659 points, respectively. London's growth was more modest, up 0.28% to 10,688 points.

In the bond market, the spread between Italian BTP and German Bund ten-year bonds closed the day at 86 basis points, down from 87 at the opening. The yield on Italian ten-year bonds decreased by 5.5 basis points to 4.36%. German ten-year yields fell 3.1 basis points to 3.5%, and French ten-year yields dropped 4 basis points to 4.46%. British ten-year yields saw a more significant decrease of 9.1 basis points, reaching 5.29%.

Oil Drops Sharply; Gold Rises

On currency markets, the euro-dollar exchange rate remained largely stable compared to the previous day, settling at 1.154. Gold experienced a positive session, with a gain of 1.32%. Conversely, oil prices moved downwards; Light Sweet Crude Oil lost 3.26%, falling to $102.4 per barrel.

Prysmian Leads Gains on Ftse Mib

Among Milan's blue-chip companies, Prysmian stood out, closing with a 3.38% increase. Lottomatica also saw buying interest, rising by 2.76%, followed by Italgas, which gained 2.42%. Brunello Cucinelli also performed well, climbing 2.22%, while Ferrari finished the session with a 1.21% increase.

On the downside, Stellantis was particularly affected by selling pressure, dropping 3.33%. Nexi retreated by 1.30%, and Fincantieri lost 0.61%. Eni also closed slightly below its previous session's levels.

NewPrinces Soars 8.52% on MidCap

On the Ftse MidCap index, NewPrinces achieved the best performance, jumping 8.52%. Cembre followed with a 6.70% increase, Webuild gained 5.49%, and Pharmanutra rose by 4.61%.

Among the weaker performers in this segment, MFE A was down 2.64%. Danieli shed 1.96%, MFE B lost 1.84%, and Reply declined by 1.55%. Finally, both football club stocks closed negatively: Juventus finished the session down 0.37%, while Lazio dropped 0.90%.
