Caso Lukaku, Napoli nei guai

August 11, 2026Carlos Mendoza2 мин

Romelu Lukaku is moving closer to Fenerbahçe following an agreement on his contract. Napoli and the Turkish club are in discussions regarding the transfer fee, with Napoli's request approaching 10 million euros.

Romelu Lukaku is nearing a move to Fenerbahçe. The Belgian striker has reportedly given his consent to a transfer to Turkey, opening the possibility of leaving Napoli during the current transfer window. The agreement on personal terms is a significant step, but the operation is not yet finalized. Napoli and Fenerbahçe must reach an accord on the player's transfer fee after an initial offer did not meet the Azzurri's valuation.

Lukaku Accepts Fenerbahçe's Proposal

Fenerbahçe is said to have presented the player with a highly favorable two-year contract. Lukaku has, in principle, accepted the Istanbul club's project, expressing a desire for a new experience after two seasons at Napoli. In Turkey, the Belgian would find an ambitious environment and a team built to compete both domestically and in European competitions. The attacking department already includes Vedat Muriqi, who returned to Fenerbahçe after his spell at Mallorca.

Lukaku's arrival would allow the Turkish club to field two physically strong center-forwards, using them either as alternatives or, in certain situations, within the same offensive system.

Napoli Asks for Around 10 Million Euros

The main obstacle now concerns the agreement between the clubs. According to various reports, Napoli has rejected a first offer below their valuation and continues to demand a figure close to 10 million euros.

Lukaku's contract expires in June 2027. The remaining duration of the agreement prevents Napoli from demanding an excessively high sum, but the club does not intend to release the player on terms considered detrimental.

In July, Beşiktaş also expressed interest. The picture reported by Football Italia already indicated Napoli's valuation at 10 million euros to authorize the departure.

Sources do not entirely agree on the identity of the club that made the previous 6 million euro offer; some accounts attribute it to Fenerbahçe, while others attribute it to Beşiktaş. The key point, therefore, remains the gap between the initial offer and Napoli's request.
