Barillà: Spalletti needs to improve communication; Conte shouldn't be a negative shadow.

Journalist Antonio Barillà believes the club should trust their decision to continue with coach Spalletti, but notes that the coach must adapt his communication.

Speaking on Radio Bianconera, Barillà commented on Juventus's Europa League win, highlighting positive signs in their play and player development, particularly from young talents. He cautioned against overconfidence due to the opponents' weakness, emphasizing the need to see similar performance against Atalanta.

Regarding the lingering presence of Antonio Conte, Barillà stated: "He will always remain in Turin as long as he is available. There's a constant search for a solution to reconnect a long-severed thread. He's a significant figure, a winner, a historic captain. However, he shouldn't become a shadow, as it prevents serene work. The club decided to move forward with Spalletti, and that decision should be trusted. Spalletti, though, must change his communication. I cannot accept a Juventus coach saying the mentality is right after a loss to Sassuolo. It's unacceptable."

On Juventus's playing style, Barillà added: "I believe Spalletti has always proven to be a flexible coach, adapting to the available players or emergencies. We saw a different kind of balance, which I think will be maintained. The approach used against NEC is an added option the coach will employ. A coach can have a footballing idea, but must adapt to his players. It's clear the current strikers don't fit his ideal model, but there are ways to adjust the formation, invent positions, and reassign players. I think the players will be adapted to this new vision, especially given the injuries. Necessity will become a virtue, as time is short. I suspect Kolo Muani might start against Atalanta, but that's just a feeling."
