In an interview with `Libero`, former Juventus coach Gigi Maifredi shared his thoughts on the managerial situation at the Turin club. Maifredi believes that Igor Tudor is only a temporary coach for Juventus.
According to Maifredi, Juventus is aiming for a major signing for the head coach position. While dismissing Mancini as a possibility, Maifredi suggests Juventus will target a top-tier manager, specifically mentioning Pep Guardiola as the prime candidate. He describes Guardiola as the best manager and recalls knowing him well from his time in Brescia, both as a player and during Guardiola`s visits to the area.
Maifredi further states that Guardiola is interested in coaching in Italy, a country he admires, as Serie A is the only top league he hasn`t won yet. Guardiola has already won titles in La Liga, Bundesliga, and the Premier League, and Maifredi believes Guardiola sees Juventus as the pinnacle of Italian football.
