Igor Tudor is tasked with the Champions League mission for Juventus. The new Bianconeri coach, brought in to replace Motta, has a contract until the Club World Cup, with an automatic extension if the goal is achieved. However, the club has the option to confirm him or not by the end of July. His first match is Saturday against Genoa.
The debate continues about the reasons for Thiago Motta`s dismissal. Giuntoli is also under scrutiny. It remains to be seen if the club will consider another coach at the end of the season, with Conte being among the favorites. Alessandro Birindelli shared his EXCLUSIVE thoughts on `Fuori di Juve`.
The former Bianconeri defender clearly stated his opinion on Motta`s work and also pointed out the responsibilities of the club: `Thiago was hired after a significant achievement with Bologna. The project was planned for three years, and the squad was full of young players. While acknowledging the mistakes made by the Italian-Brazilian coach, he lacked support from the club, which is crucial, especially in difficult moments. Another fault of the management was not explaining to Motta the reality he was stepping into, to help him correct his errors. Certainly, the coach is a bit presumptuous; he often put his ego before the team, surely creating discontent in the locker room. Regarding the technical/tactical aspect, I believe the coach`s leadership is right concerning his football philosophy. However, there are many things to manage: the group, the club, the fans, the history of the club, the environment. Motta failed in this aspect. The dismissal was not solely due to technical issues but due to a relationship with the environment that never took off.`
