According to Corsera, Juventus is adopting a rigorous training approach under new coach Igor Tudor, described as a `Hammer` to get the team running. The announcement of Tudor`s appointment came swiftly, marking a dramatic shift after Thiago Motta`s departure. Tudor, known for his demanding training methods, reminiscent of Antonio Conte and Gasperini, wasted no time, starting workouts at Continassa immediately.
During his time in Marseille, some players reportedly complained about the intensity of his training sessions. In an interview with L’Équipe, Tudor responded by stating, “If we compare it to other sports, we actually work less in football.” He cited the weekly schedule of Olympic champion Jakob Ingebrigtsen, who runs 10 kilometers in the morning and another 10 in the afternoon on Mondays, followed by fraction training on Tuesdays and Wednesdays, continuing this demanding routine throughout the week without a day of rest. This illustrates Tudor`s philosophy of high-intensity preparation, although it`s acknowledged that Thiago Motta`s training was also demanding.
