Former Juventus defender, Nicola Legrottaglie, spoke to Sportmediaset, offering his perspective on Juventus`s season and the appointment of Igor Tudor as coach. Here are his comments:
“Tudor is one of us, and everyone has their own approach and philosophy of football; there`s no single right or wrong way. Some integrate well in certain environments, while others don`t. Tudor has the qualities to bring something new, including charisma. I`ve already seen glimpses of his ideas in the first half at the Olimpico, although there`s still work to be done. Gradually, Juventus will return to being highly competitive, and I hope this happens with Tudor as the coach.”
When asked if Tudor is the right coach for the next season, Legrottaglie responded: “Results will tell, the atmosphere within the club will tell, and so will the people who work with him. Those who are inside and experience the environment know what kind of person Tudor is, what his principles are, how he communicates. These factors will be crucial in deciding if he`s the right coach for Juventus. If he proves to be empathetic with everyone, he might have the opportunity to stay and lead the team next year.”
