Journalist Parisio: Conte Seeking Excuse to Leave Napoli

Speaking on `1 Football Club`, a radio program hosted by Luca Cerchione on 1 Station Radio, journalist Gianni Parisio of passioneInter shared his perspective on various football topics, including Antonio Conte`s situation at Napoli.

Parisio, who knows Conte well from his previous coaching tenure at Inter, addressed the recent comments by the Napoli coach suggesting that the training pitches at Castel Volturno were the cause of the team`s numerous muscle injuries.

“I don`t believe that`s ever happened before,” Parisio stated, referencing Conte`s history with major clubs like Juventus, Tottenham, Chelsea, and Inter, where he couldn`t recall a similar issue arising. He found the rationale regarding the pitches reminiscent of other coaches making weak excuses for poor results.

Parisio went on to suggest that Conte might be searching for a reason to depart Napoli at the end of the current season. He believes Conte is attempting to shift blame onto various factors, including the transfer market and the training facilities.

“In my opinion, he`s not making a very good impression regarding Napoli and the Napoli fans,” Parisio commented, adding that Conte always tries to come out looking right, but the excuse about the pitches “simply doesn`t hold water” and seems out of place.
