Jonathan David: His Juventus Day

According to La Stampa newspaper, it was Jonathan David`s day. His first day as a Juventus player was a busy and emotional one, filled with medical tests, signing his contract, touring the club`s facilities, and meeting enthusiastic fans. The forward, who arrived on a free transfer from Lille, began his day at 11 am with his arrival at Malpensa airport. There, he immediately got a taste of the Bianconeri passion, interacting with supporters, shaking hands, receiving encouragement, and taking selfies on his way to a waiting van bound for Turin.

After the drive, he made a stop at the Continassa training ground. He checked into his room at the J Hotel and took a look around the training pitches. He then took a short trip by jeep to the J Medical center. Two hundred supporters were gathered outside the entrance, giving the Canadian international a warm welcome.

David is the first acquisition under the new CEO, Damien Comolli. Comolli was reportedly adept at securing the player`s signature despite competition and managed to do so at a cost lower than initially discussed. The player himself played a crucial role, intervening personally to resolve the financial deadlock caused by initial economic differences. This clearly demonstrates the priority David placed on joining Juventus. Historically, Juventus had never featured a Canadian player, and only three Canadians have ever played in Serie A before.
