Juventus is currently focused on securing qualification for the Champions League. With just one matchday left, holding fourth place, they need to earn maximum points away at Venezia on Sunday to avoid any unwelcome surprises. Meanwhile, attention is also turning to the future. The coaching situation is a primary concern, with Igor Tudor expected to leave even if the qualification objective is achieved. Antonio Conte is being considered as the likely successor. A potential reshuffle within the club management is also anticipated: Giorgio Chiellini is tipped for a decision-making role, which could lead to a reduced role for Cristiano Giuntoli, and further new personnel are not ruled out. Mark Iuliano discussed these topics and more in an EXCLUSIVE interview with Fuori di Juve. A former teammate of both Tudor and Conte during his time in black and white, the ex-defender also responded to comments made by Massimo Moratti, who had described the famous Scudetto won by the `Old Lady` in the 1997/1998 season as a `robbery`.
Regarding the speculation about a potential coaching change, Iuliano remained somewhat cautious: “Igor and Antonio are both friends of mine, extraordinary people, and great coaches. So, I find myself in a difficult position and would have trouble choosing between them. However, if Antonio Conte wasn`t being considered, I would definitely endorse Igor Tudor without hesitation. As a Croatian, he`s a devoted Bianconeri supporter and understands the significance and pressure of wearing this jersey. The development project for Juventus unfortunately stalled. If the change had happened even just a month sooner, the team would likely have secured their Champions League spot already. I know Igor well; we were teammates, and I was confident he could make a positive impact, despite the challenges faced. For us fans, it was painful to watch how the team was playing under the previous leadership. Compared to anyone else, Conte is certainly a guarantee. With him, you always compete for victory; he genuinely regrets having left Juventus in the past.”
