Iuliano: “Calciopoli? I hope one Scudetto is honestly returned to me, I won it on the field”

Iuliano: "Calciopoli? Spero che uno Scudetto me lo ridiano onestamente, io l’ho vinto sul campo"

Former Juventus defender, Mark Iuliano, gave an interview to Radio Goal, broadcast live on Kiss Kiss Napoli, to talk about Antonio Conte, whom he knows well, and who will not be on the bench against Bologna on Monday evening due to suspension.

Here are his words: “Conte is a safe bet, he is a winner and knows where to intervene, in fact we are seeing the results he is achieving with Napoli. He has rediscovered players who seemed lost last year, and Napoli this year is always great to watch. Conte`s absence in Bologna? The players are mature, they will make up for his absence, even if it is always better to have him. But Stellini and Oriali will not make his absence regretted.”

“He is a stressful coach, he was unbearable as a teammate (laughs, ed.). He talked about every ball, every action, Antonio is like that and you have to put up with it (jokes, ed.). He is someone who always demands more, having him is a fortune. Buongiorno? He is very strong, he knows how to man-mark, he is complete and will improve further. He was a great signing for Napoli. Di Lorenzo? He is extraordinary, he is a great captain, then maybe when he leaves due to age, Buongiorno could take his place. Although wearing the captain`s armband is never easy.”

Then the `classic` question about the number of Scudetti won in his career returns, referring to those revoked by sports justice for the Calciopoli events: “Scudetti in my career? I hope one is honestly returned to me, I won it on the field,” was his reply.
