Italy Women`s national team coach, Andrea Soncin, announced the squad list of 23 players and four reserves for the upcoming European Championship in Switzerland through a video published on the FIGC social media channels. Coach Soncin shared a message of gratitude and determination: “I sincerely thank all the players who participated in this preparation phase, especially those who were not included in the final list. All of you, with seriousness, respect, and a great sense of responsibility, have contributed to creating the magical atmosphere we want to bring to Switzerland. We want to live this experience with passion, confidence, and awareness of our qualities. We are the Azzurre.”
Eight players from Juventus have been selected by the coach for the tournament: Boattin, Lenzini, Salvai, Schatzer, Beccari, Bonansea, Cantore (reported to be moving towards Washington Spirit), and Girelli. Additionally, Valentina Bergamaschi and Martina Rosucci from Juventus are included among the reserves.
