Vincenzo Italiano, the coach of Bologna, held a press conference ahead of their Coppa Italia semi-final match against Empoli. He spoke about the significance of the potential achievement for the club.
“It`s been 51 years since this club reached such a stage,” Italiano stated. “It would be a milestone that would make the entire environment, and us in particular, very happy. Winning tomorrow and reaching a final… that was a goal for all of us. I hope for a significant crowd; the players deserve it. We will be striving for this prestigious goal.”
Italiano emphasized the team`s dedication to the competition: “We work to achieve these milestones. It`s normal to have this ambition, and we have honored this competition in the best way possible.”
He further explained the club`s long-term vision, shared by the leadership. “The club had this dream, and now we are one step away from achieving it, but we had set it as our objective. Bologna is demonstrating continuous growth, planning, and ambition. The president wants Bologna to become a top-tier club; he deeply cares about this matter.”
Concluding on a confident note, Italiano reiterated his belief in the team`s potential: “With this level of desire, you can truly aim for everything.”
