Inter, per Jones situazione simile a Romero: i nerazzurri non mollano il colpo, ma serve una cessione

Despite Inter's current focus on acquiring a right-winger, Curtis Jones remains a top transfer target for the Nerazzurri this window. Liverpool's midfielder has long been admired by Cristian Chivu, but the circumstances for his move to Milan have not materialized in January or so far. One obstacle is Liverpool's high valuation, well over €30 million, even with the Englishman's contract expiring in a year.

Another factor is undoubtedly the abundance of midfielders at the club. This situation is reminiscent of the one that ultimately scuttled the transfer negotiations for Romero. Inter can only make a move for Jones after a midfield player is sold. The name in question remains Davide Frattesi, though no concrete offers have been received for him to date. Without his departure, Jones will stay at Liverpool. Therefore, Inter hopes to avoid another Romero scenario and fulfill Chivu's long-held desire for Jones, whom he has been tracking and dreaming of signing for several months.
