Inter halts for a week, but it’s not just a reward. Cristian Chivu has decided to give some days off to players who remained at Appiano and were not called up by their respective national teams. They are due back next Monday.

However, players received individual programs to maintain their fitness. Spence, Calhanoglu, and Stones, in particular, will follow a personalized plan. The goal is to have the latter two ready for the match against Parma on October 10th. The medical staff remains optimistic, but upcoming tests and gradual increases in workload will be decisive.

The three-week break is an unprecedented situation, and Chivu will have to manage a different kind of preparation for the upcoming, particularly intense, cycle. The most important tactical drills will only occur upon the return of the 13 players called up by national teams, including Barella, Bastoni, Dimarco, Esposito, Lautaro, Bonny, Sucic, Diouf, Bisseck, Zielinski, Stankovic, Martinez, and Akanji.
