Bastoni and Dimarco: 'Inter is a Second Family, It's the Secret to Winning'

Inter Milan stars Alessandro Bastoni and Federico Dimarco recently shared insights into their strong bond, the team's locker room dynamics, and their profound connection with the club. Both players highlighted the locker room as a crucial and perhaps the most enjoyable aspect of their profession.

"It's definitely a very important part of our job, perhaps the best, so much so that everyone who stops playing misses it," they explained. "We've been fortunate in recent years to have a great locker room; we are very united, we have fun, and we share many things. It's the best place to do it."

Dimarco affectionately nicknamed Bastoni "Gerry" due to his long limbs. Their relationship is described as almost brotherly. Bastoni added, "Our relationship is almost brotherly; we’ve played almost always together, on the same flank, our bond started a long time ago."

Inter: More Than Just a Club, It's Family

For both players, Inter represents much more than just a club. Dimarco stated, "I could say many things about Inter, but in the end, what sticks with me the most is having grown up here and met so many people who have helped me. I can consider it a second family."

Bastoni echoed this sentiment: "It truly is in every sense. You realize the atmosphere, the fans, when you're here... We can consider it a family, and all of this has kept us here after so many years. It’s the secret to winning."

Shared Talent and Mentors

Discussing their shared left-footed ability, Bastoni remarked, "We've been quite fortunate. Besides having good teachers like Kolarov, it's a natural gift." Dimarco added, "Obviously, you can learn many things over the years, but you either have the foot or you don't; it's a talent we possess. Then there's also Chivu..."

Both players also acknowledged the positive influence of former teammates and mentors. Bastoni recalled, "We've had a lot of examples we can look to. Some gave us more mentally, some more technically. I think of Ranocchia, Godin, Kolarov... We have always found great people." Dimarco agreed with his teammate.
