MILAN – “We played a splendid first half, and we deserved to be up by more than two goals. In the second half, we didn`t start as well, but until Udinese`s goal, we hadn`t risked anything. Then, we stopped playing, and in these kinds of matches, you always run risks. Udinese has had an excellent season,” said Inter coach Simone Inzaghi, commenting on the victory against Udinese in an interview with Dazn.
Regarding his sending off, Inzaghi added: “I was wrong, and I apologized. The foul on Correa seemed clear to me, and the corner kick came from there, but I was just 4 meters away. Sometimes adrenaline plays tricks, unfortunately, I won`t be there against Parma. We are in a difficult moment with injuries. Frattesi and Arnautovic took knocks and couldn`t continue. Dimarco and Darmian were returning after a long time, and there was a risk of relapse. Calhanoglu could have continued, but he was coming off two games with Turkey. De Vrij, Taremi, Dumfries, and Lautaro were also unavailable.”
