Critics suggest that in five years, the matter will be statute-barred, and a future judge might still acknowledge wrongdoing occurred. A persistent complaint is that Juventus management fails to protect its fans from being ridiculed by the football world. A strong, clear stance is needed. If treatment isn`t equal, perhaps drastic protest measures, even fielding the youth team for the rest of the season, should be considered. While counterproductive, such a protest could anger public opinion which appears to manipulate the situation. It`s baffling how media outlets like Gazzetta dello Sport and Sky Sport dedicate front pages and week-long coverage when Juventus is involved, yet now there`s barely a second-page mention. Dwelling on the past is painful, but this situation feels reminiscent of Calciopoli, where parties may emerge unscathed and continue questionable practices. Football is disgusting, and personally, I`m glad I haven`t subscribed to any TV channels for years; my money goes to my children.
Where is the Minister of Sport? Isn`t it high time for a thorough investigation into how sports justice is administered? On the other hand, I am sportingly disappointed with the Juventus club itself, which is taking too long to regain proper structure with the right people in key roles and competent directors to acquire suitable coaches and players. There`s a disconnect in communication style compared to events – from the former coach`s arrogance in defending his position to the sporting director`s statements sounding like someone returning from a holiday when the team wasn`t winning, coupled with complete silence from top management. This creates a divide between the club and its fans, who remain connected only by love for the history and the jersey, certainly not by the merits of the management since the post-Agnelli era.
“This is simply unacceptable.”
