A prominent defender is said to harbor strong ambitions of joining FC Barcelona, hoping the Catalan club can facilitate the move.
Reports suggest that Inter Milan’s Alessandro Bastoni is making every effort to secure a transfer to FC Barcelona this summer.
The Italian international is reportedly keen to depart the Nerazzurri. Inter Milan might consider a sale if a suitable transfer fee is offered for the defender. His current market value is estimated at 70 million euros, a sum Barcelona would likely struggle to meet without first generating funds from player sales.
It’s understood that Bastoni is committed to making this transfer a reality. Reaching personal terms with Barcelona is expected to be straightforward, indicating his strong desire for what is being described as a «dream move.»

Barcelona is reportedly seeking a robust partner for Pau Cubarsi in central defense. Coach Hansi Flick’s squad currently includes the injured Andreas Christensen and captain Ronald Araujo for the backline, though Araujo is often deployed in a secondary role under the German coach.
Bastoni recently faced significant criticism in Italy. During a crucial World Cup playoff second leg against Bosnia, his professional foul, committed while the Azzurri were leading 1-0, reportedly destabilized the team. Italy ultimately lost the match in a penalty shootout, missing out on the World Cup for the third consecutive time.
Bastoni emerged from Atalanta Bergamo’s youth academy before joining Inter for 31 million euros in 2017. Inter subsequently loaned him back to Atalanta for a season, and then to Parma Calcio for the 2018/19 season, before he successfully established himself in Milan.
