Gianni Infantino once again affirmed his support for Inter Milan just hours before the Inter-Barcelona match. The FIFA president attended the F1 Miami Grand Prix with the purpose of displaying the Club World Cup trophy, set to take place from June 14 to July 13 in the United States. During his appearance, he also shared a few thoughts on the Champions League semi-final in an interview with Mundo Deportivo.
When questioned about whether he preferred Inter or Barcelona in the upcoming tie, Infantino responded straightforwardly, stating that `everyone knows I am an Inter supporter.` The head of FIFA was then prompted for a comment regarding Argentine forward Lautaro Martinez. His brief reply was: `Inter is the team of the Argentines.`
Inzaghi remains guarded: `We will decide on Lautaro and Pavard with medical staff and players`
In his press conference, Inter coach Simone Inzaghi spoke cautiously ahead of tomorrow`s return leg against Barcelona, following the 3-3 draw in the first match of the Champions League semi-final. One of the initial and inevitable questions concerned the potential availability of Lautaro Martinez and Benjamin Pavard. Inzaghi commented: `The decision regarding Lautaro and Pavard will be made jointly with the medical staff and the players themselves; they are the ones who need to inform me of their sensations. Lautaro hasn`t trained since the game in Barcelona, he will train today, and we will see how he feels. Pavard has already done some work and felt reasonably good.`
