Impallomeni: “Conte’s Outbursts Are Constant, He Doesn’t Feel Respected”

Impallomeni: Conte`s Frustration

Antonio Conte`s press conference outburst before the Monza game, and his subsequent words after the match, have sparked considerable discussion. Are these reactions a confirmation of a likely departure at the end of the year, or perhaps a message to president De Laurentiis for the future? TMW Radio commentators share their opinions.

Stefano Impallomeni states: “Conte`s outburst is a recurring theme, and he went even further with his expressions. Whether people like it or not, I have a strong feeling he`s not speaking randomly. He`s a top professional, a born winner, and while these outbursts might be off-putting to some, it`s who he is. He sent a message to Napoli: `You are not at my level.` He feels disrespected, as if those who made him promises have been mocking him. Conte is made this way, it`s his temperament. He can`t change now. In my opinion, he hasn`t been respected, and that`s why he`s saying all of this so early. Especially because he has achieved the objective, which is Champions League qualification. He was promised something, and he felt trapped and he`s not accepting it. He wants to work with a certain level of planning, and this current situation doesn`t allow for that. The training grounds need to be redone, it`s been talked about since Benitez`s time, players are getting injured, and Conte is right to be angry. It`s an outburst to gauge the situation. He said he has a very good relationship with De Laurentiis, I believe it and I emphasize it. Maybe the target is someone who works with ADL, and not the president himself. It`s a possibility. We always see ADL as a coach-eater, but I have my doubts that he`s the problem for Conte.”
