Der FC Bayern muss vorerst auf seinen Top-Stürmer Harry Kane verzichten. Kane kehrte von seiner Länderspielreise mit einer Sprunggelenksverletzung zurück, die ihn mindestens ein Spiel pausieren lässt.
Konkret wird Kane dem Rekordmeister im kommenden Bundesligaspiel gegen den SC Freiburg nicht zur Verfügung stehen.
Trainer Vincent Kompany äußerte sich am Freitag zu Kanes Zustand: «Es ist natürlich keine schöne Situation. Ich hätte ihn sehr gerne dabei gehabt, aber das ist momentan nicht möglich.» Dennoch zeigte sich Kompany optimistisch bezüglich Kanes potenziellen Einsatz im Champions-League-Viertelfinal-Hinspiel gegen Real Madrid am kommenden Dienstag.
Kompany erklärte, Kane habe bis Sonntag gut mit der englischen Nationalmannschaft trainiert, ehe er Beschwerden am Sprunggelenk verspürte. Ansonsten sei der Kader des FC Bayern für die anstehenden wichtigen Partien weitestgehend vollständig und bereit.
Erfreulicherweise stehen mehrere zuletzt angeschlagene Spieler wie Manuel Neuer, Jamal Musiala, Alphonso Davies, Aleksandar Pavlovic, Hiroki Ito und Jonas Urbig wieder zur Verfügung. Über deren genaue Einsatzzeiten oder Startelf-Positionen habe Kompany jedoch noch nicht endgültig entschieden.
