Fiorentina striker Albert Gudmundsson shared his thoughts after Iceland`s recent victory. He expressed his enjoyment in representing his national team, stating, “It was really fun, it`s always nice to wear the national team shirt.” Gudmundsson felt the team performed well both offensively and defensively in the match. Despite a string of poor results leading up to this game, he sensed the team was “taking decisive steps in the right direction,” a progression he believes was evident today.
Addressing speculation about his club future, Gudmundsson admitted, “I can`t tell you now, I simply don`t even know myself.” He added that he expects clarity after June 15th, when Fiorentina is scheduled to “make a decision” regarding his situation, determining “if it will be at Fiorentina or somewhere else.”
