Following Manchester City`s 1-0 defeat to Crystal Palace in the FA Cup, manager Pep Guardiola held a press conference. Speaking after the match, the Spanish coach stated: “Congratulations to Palace. We gave it everything; there`s nothing to regret.”
Guardiola elaborated on the team`s performance: “In our last two matches, we`ve come up against teams defending very, very deep. We created a lot of chances. If you don`t score, you don`t win. We`re disappointed we didn`t win, but we played much better, even better than against United last season.”
He added: “We gave everything and created many opportunities. Across the last two games, we`ve had 50 shots. Sometimes, that`s just how football is. We did everything we could, and they defended well. We created chances and controlled their transitions effectively. Unfortunately, we couldn`t get the win, and we congratulate Crystal Palace.”
