Gabriele Gravina, president of the Italian Football Federation (FIGC), has expressed his confidence regarding the Italian national team`s prospects for the World Cup.
Speaking at the event `Il Foglio a San Siro`, Gravina stated, “We must be confident about the national team, despite knowing that we are always fighting with an objective fact: we have very few selectable players, but there is excellent quality and we have an excellent coach.”
He continued, “There is a lot, a lot of anticipation from our fans, there is that enthusiasm that we would like to develop from our fans, which has always been the extra strength, the added value that has allowed us to achieve a historic goal like the 2021 European Championship.”
“Therefore, we must be confident, put together all possible energies because we know that it is an appointment that we cannot fail,” he concluded.
