Coach Giovanni Galeone discussed the future of his renowned former player and coaching student, Massimiliano Allegri, during an interview on Radio Kiss Kiss Napoli. Here`s what he said:
“Conte focuses on his players on the field. Winning the Scudetto is entirely in Napoli`s hands; if they win all their remaining matches, they will secure the title. Inter could potentially drop a few points. It was once considered unlucky to even mention the word `treble`. When Conte takes charge of a team, his objective is always to win the Scudetto. He achieved this with Juventus, he did it with Inter, and he aims to do the same with Napoli. As for Allegri, De Laurentiis holds him in high regard, but Allegri is also being considered by clubs like Real Madrid, Milan, and Roma…”
Regarding the Scudetto race, Galeone added: “The outcome rests solely with Napoli. The Scudetto is in their hands. If they secure wins in all their remaining fixtures, they will claim the title. I had anticipated a draw for Napoli in Bologna, and predicted another draw for Inter before the season concludes. I didn`t expect Inter to lose at the Dall`Ara stadium. Inter might drop points against teams like Roma, Torino, or Lazio, especially with the fatigue from their Coppa Italia efforts potentially impacting them. Furthermore, Inter has reached the Champions League semi-finals, facing Barcelona. This is a match where Inter could perform very well, particularly considering Barcelona`s defensive vulnerabilities – they are `unwatchable` at the back, conceding 3-4 goals even against sides like Getafe.”
