Fratini on RBN: “Why I Say Gasperini, Not Conte. Chiellini Post-Calvo. On Massara…”

Juventus is reportedly attempting to bring back Paolo Pintus, a renowned fitness coach currently at Real Madrid. Pintus previously worked with Antonio Conte, notably during Inter`s Scudetto-winning season in 2021. This move is seen by some as a potential signal for Conte`s return to Turin. However, changes are not limited to the coaching staff; significant shifts within the club`s corporate structure are also expected. Francesco Calvo has resigned, and former captain Giorgio Chiellini is considered a strong candidate to step into a significant managerial role, potentially replacing Calvo. Cristiano Giuntoli`s position could also change, with Ricky Massara emerging as a possible option for the Sporting Director role. Meanwhile, Igor Tudor`s team is focusing on their upcoming match against Udinese, the penultimate game of the season, with qualification for the Champions League remaining a key objective for the Bianconeri. Michele Fratini, a talent scout and market intermediary, discussed these potential developments in an exclusive interview with Fuori di Juve on Radio Bianconera (RBN).

Fratini anticipates a form of “revolution” at Juventus next season. He expressed his belief that Tudor will likely not be confirmed as coach, stating that the next appointment will be decided by the ownership and will heavily depend on whether the club secures qualification for the next Champions League, viewing the current season as underperforming. When asked about the possibility of Conte taking over, Fratini acknowledged Conte`s capabilities as a great coach, highlighting his success in instilling a winning mentality at Napoli and their potential to win the Scudetto. However, Fratini believes Conte would be unwilling to give up the opportunity to compete in the Champions League to return to Juventus at this time. Instead, Fratini proposed Gian Piero Gasperini as a suitable candidate for the Juventus bench, citing his tactical flexibility and excellent track record in developing young players. Regarding the club`s management, he reiterated Chiellini as an ideal profile to potentially replace the resigned Calvo. Fratini emphasized Chiellini`s existing experience as a director, his two university degrees, his status as a respected figure and former captain, making him well-suited for various roles within the club.
