Foschi: “Stunning Battle for Fourth Place Involving Bologna, Juve, and Roman Clubs”

Sports director Rino Foschi, speaking on Radio Marte, offered his analysis of the current Serie A landscape. Regarding Napoli, he stated that with Antonio Conte now at the helm, the team has brought in a coach capable of immediately elevating them to the highest echelons. He observed that Inter currently appears more fatigued, despite Napoli`s injury woes. Foschi admitted that a tight head-to-head contest with only five games remaining was unexpected, but he believes if the Azzurri can secure maximum points from their remaining fixtures, they could potentially clinch the title. He views Inter`s elimination from the Coppa Italia as a fortunate turn for them. However, he suggested that following recent defeats against Bologna and Milan, the Nerazzurri might feel a degree of anxiety facing Roma, particularly because they are now in a position where they cannot afford any further mistakes in the league.

While acknowledging Conte`s considerable skill, Foschi suggested that perhaps the coach could have delayed making certain comments about his future until the end of the season. He also remarked that although Napoli`s President Aurelio De Laurentiis makes numerous errors, he handled this specific situation effectively. Turning his attention to the race for fourth place, Foschi described it as “wonderful,” highlighting the intense competition between Bologna, Juventus, and the two Roman clubs (Roma and Lazio). He characterized the current league season as “beautiful” precisely because of how many teams remain in contention. Furthermore, he expressed his conviction that Atalanta is deserving of third place and particularly lauded Bologna for what he considers an extraordinary season.
