Former Juve Star Danilo Shines for Flamengo in Libertadores Draw

Danilo, the former Brazilian defender for Juventus, has quickly made a significant impact at Flamengo, his new club. The ex-Bianconeri captain was notably voted man of the match in Flamengo`s recent 0-0 draw against LDU Quito in the Copa Libertadores.

Reflecting on his performance and return to the competition, Danilo commented: “It`s been 14 years [since I last played in the Libertadores], so it feels very special to me. I`m in the latter stages of my career, and I`m striving to fully enjoy these opportunities alongside this team. The players here are fantastic and are assisting me greatly in adapting. Our mindset now must be focused on winning matches, both at home and away, because that`s what the history of Flamengo demands.”
