The Italian Football Federation (FIGC) prosecutor has received documents from the Rome prosecutor`s office concerning the Osimhen case. This case previously led to Napoli president Aurelio De Laurentiis being indicted for false accounting last February.
According to reports, federal prosecutor Chinè now has 30 days to decide whether to reopen the sports proceedings against Napoli. The investigation is focused not only on the acquisition of Osimhen from Lille but also on the transfer of Manolas to Napoli in the summer of 2019.
The sports trial could be reopened if new elements emerge that could change the situation. In such a case, Napoli risks penalties ranging from a simple fine to a points deduction in the league standings.
