Reports suggest that Cole Palmer is currently unhappy at Chelsea, leading to speculation about his future and interest from other top clubs.
Cole Palmer’s continued stay at Chelsea reportedly hinges on the club’s qualification for the Champions League. If the Blues, currently sitting sixth in the league, fail to secure a spot in Europe’s premier competition, the 23-year-old might consider departing London. In such a scenario, Manchester United, Real Madrid, and FC Bayern Munich are said to have expressed preliminary interest in Palmer.
However, it remains questionable whether any of these potential suitors would be willing to meet Chelsea’s demands. Palmer is under a long-term contract with the Blues until 2033, which guarantees him approximately ten million euros per year. Consequently, Chelsea reportedly values the winger at a staggering 170 million euros.
FC Bayern is highly unlikely to pay such a sum, even if the German record champions consider Palmer an intriguing prospect. Historically, the Munich club has never exceeded the 95 million euros they paid for Harry Kane.
Reasons for Cole Palmer’s Alleged Dissatisfaction This Season
Beyond the potential failure to qualify for the Champions League, reports cite two additional reasons for Palmer’s alleged discontent at Chelsea: their elimination from the Champions League against Paris Saint-Germain this season, and the tactical demands of new coach Liam Rosenior, which reportedly restrict his creative freedom compared to previous setups.
Cole Palmer came through Manchester City’s youth academy before moving to Stamford Bridge in 2023 for a transfer fee of 47 million euros.
