FC Bayern Expresses Interest in Bundesliga Star Antonio Nusa

FC Bayern is reportedly keeping an eye on Norwegian international Antonio Nusa, 21, from Bundesliga rival RB Leipzig. The Newcastle Chronicle reports a ‘long list of admirers’ for the offensive winger, with the German record champions among them. Juventus, Tottenham Hotspur, Crystal Palace, and Newcastle United are also said to be interested in Nusa.

While the mentioned clubs have not yet made concrete moves for a potential transfer this summer, Newcastle has reportedly scouted him multiple times. The club managed by German international Nick Woltemade is actively seeking a new star for their offensive flanks, especially after selling Anthony Gordon to FC Barcelona for 80 million Euros and missing out on their target replacement, Victor Munoz (22), to Premier League rivals FC Liverpool.

RB Leipzig Demands 50 Million Euros for Antonio Nusa

The lightning-fast Nusa, who can play on both the left and right offensive wings, fits Newcastle’s profile. According to the report, RB Leipzig’s minimum asking price for a sale next season is 50 million Euros.

Nusa joined RB Leipzig from Club Brugge in the summer of 2024 for a fee of 21 million Euros. Last season, he was a regular starter, contributing nine scorer points (five goals, four assists) in 35 competitive matches.

While FC Bayern’s reported serious interest in him is generally understandable, it seems less plausible given the current situation. Although FCB is searching for a left-winger, they appear to have identified their preferred target: the versatile Moroccan Ismael Saibari, 25, from PSV Eindhoven is expected to join the offense. According to consistent media reports, the transfer is imminent, with a fee around 50 million Euros.

With Nathaniel Brown, 23, also reportedly being pursued for 55 million Euros from Eintracht Frankfurt and a potential transfer for center-back Yann Aurel Bisseck, 25, from Inter Milan, another significant investment in Nusa seems less realistic.

Antonio Nusa is a Regular in Norway’s National Team

Nusa is currently with Norway at the World Cup in the USA, Canada, and Mexico, where he could further increase his market value and attract additional suitors. Norway has won their opening two matches against Iraq (4-1) and Senegal (3-2) and will face vice-world champions France on Friday to conclude the group stage, competing for the group victory.

Nusa, who has 26 international caps to his name so far, has been in the starting lineup for both victories under coach Stale Solbakken, 58.
