Alberico Evani, a former teammate of Roberto Mancini, spoke on Telelombardia about the ex-Italian national team coach`s failed move to Juventus. He stated, “Roberto is definitely suited to both Milan and Juventus because both teams, I must say, have built squads to attack rather than defend. His mentality and desire to control the game would align well with both clubs. The main difficulty for Milan, especially in the first part of the season, was consistently lacking team spirit. Individually, I believe Milan can still compete with anyone, but they need to change their attitude, which ultimately makes the difference in matches.”
Regarding the contact between Mancini and Juventus, Evani commented, “I believe offering a three-month contract is not ideal, so Mancini was right to be patient because sooner or later… he is a figure who will certainly interest some team. If he had received this position and called me, I would have considered it… but we are talking about nothing because neither he nor I have been contacted,” Evani concluded.
