In a recent interview with `The Guardian`, Manchester City and Brazil national team goalkeeper Ederson addressed ongoing speculation regarding his future at the club. The 30-year-old firmly stated that his future lies with the Citizens, dismissing most reports as false.
«My future is here,» Ederson declared. «Some friends send me a lot of news, but 99% of it is fake news.»
He acknowledged the media`s need for stories, saying, «I understand you [journalists], you need news to get likes on social media or to get the news circulating.» However, he stressed that despite understanding this need, «there is a lot of fake news about my name. My head is here, to stay at City.»
Ederson concluded by outlining his immediate priorities: «For me the important thing is to return to the Premier League and try to win the Champions League again. My mind is only on the club.»
