During an appearance on Cose di calcio on Radio Bianconera, economic expert Professor Simone Brancozzi commented on the recent news regarding Francesco Calvo`s impending departure from Juventus at the end of the current season.
Professor Brancozzi characterized Calvo`s move away from the club, reportedly to Aston Villa, as a step down. “Calvo leaving Juventus, in my opinion, is a downgrade. No one would leave Juve for Aston Villa,” Brancozzi stated, adding, “And if he is doing it, there is probably something behind it.”
He further speculated on the reasons behind such changes within the club`s hierarchy. According to Brancozzi, “The ownership is realizing there is a need for more quality and also more `juventinità` [Juve identity] within the club.” He concluded his assessment by saying, “To me, it seems there is an atmosphere of demobilization among the senior management right now.”
