Former Everton manager Sean Dyche has spoken about Sporting Lisbon striker Viktor Gyokeres, who has also been linked with Juventus. In an interview with TalkSport, Dyche praised the Swedish forward, stating: “That lad, Gyökeres… I have to be honest and say he`s a top player.”
Dyche elaborated on his assessment: “I saw him play in the Championship for Coventry, and then we played a pre-season friendly against Sporting, and I thought straight away he was a very good centre-forward. And I`m not just saying that because of the goals he scores, as his game is far more complete.” Dyche also revealed he attempted to sign the player: “I tried to sign him before he signed for Sporting, but the numbers kept going up.”
