Former footballer Alberto Di Chiara spoke live on Maracanà, a broadcast by TMW Radio, sharing his views on the final matches of the Serie A season and coaching situations at other clubs.
Discussing the Serie A title race with just 180 minutes remaining, Di Chiara commented on Napoli`s position: “Napoli holds a significant advantage. Facing Parma isn`t straightforward at this point, especially after they might feel they used their `bonus` in a previous game. However, winning is certainly within their capabilities. The pressure is mounting, and with the start of warmer weather, the challenge increases, but they still have that lead. It`s completely normal to feel tension at this stage, but I don`t anticipate Napoli facing excessive difficulties. If they manage to secure a win against Parma, they will claim the Scudetto.”
Regarding Roma and Claudio Ranieri`s final appearance at the Olimpico, and touching on transfer market matters, Di Chiara offered his perspective: “I believe Ranieri will likely remain influential behind the scenes and will contribute to decisions. He suggested that changes are coming, but the extent of what can be done remains to be seen.”
When asked about who should take the coaching role at Roma, Di Chiara named a preference: “If I have to suggest a name, Gasperini is someone I rate highly. After a decade at Bergamo, initiating a new cycle becomes progressively harder, particularly in an environment like Rome.”
And concerning Milan`s choice for a coach, Di Chiara mentioned the same name: “Gasperini could also be an option for Milan. However, at Milan, there`s always uncertainty about who is ultimately making the decisions.”
