Di Benedetto: “Tudor has a 99% chance of staying at the helm of Juve next season. On the future of Vlahovic and Kolo Muani…”

In his editorial for Tuttomercatoweb, deputy director Lorenzo Di Benedetto shared his thoughts on Igor Tudor`s position and Juventus`s plans for the transfer market. The recent defeat against Parma significantly complicated Juventus`s pursuit of Champions League qualification. They have dropped out of the top four, overtaken by Bologna, which has fueled doubts among both players and the fanbase.

However, given the numerous changes in form and standings in recent weeks, the objective of finishing among the top four to secure a spot in Europe`s premier competition remains achievable. While focusing on the immediate present is essential, the team`s final league position will inevitably influence the future of many individuals, starting with Igor Tudor. The Bianconeri coach, who took charge in March following Thiago Motta`s departure, reportedly has a virtual certainty of staying at Juventus next season, provided the team secures Champions League qualification. While a 100% guarantee is rare in football, Di Benedetto suggests the probability is as high as 99%.

For a season that seems never-ending, with Locatelli and his teammates set to participate in the Club World Cup in the United States from June 14th to July 13th, Igor Tudor`s presence on the bench for this prestigious global tournament is 100% confirmed. Sporting Director Cristiano Giuntoli has full confidence in the Croatian manager. Tudor has impressed the club with his approach to the squad and his successful integration into the dressing room dynamics. Despite the disappointing performance against Parma, certain positive aspects were observed: the players follow the coach, particularly in their willingness to sacrifice, which is seen as sufficient justification to grant Tudor considerable credit.

Following the conclusion of the domestic season and before the Club World Cup, there will be a transfer window from June 1st to 10th. Juventus may use this period to reinforce the squad in preparation for both the intercontinental competition and the 2025/2026 season. Nevertheless, the significant transfer negotiations, as is typical, will commence in July. At the top of Giuntoli`s priority list is Dusan Vlahovic. His situation has been widely known for months: the Serbian striker has only one year remaining on his contract, and his substantial salary of 12 million euros is a considerable financial burden. Consequently, the possibility of a sale is becoming increasingly concrete, contingent on the striker finding a club willing to meet his economic demands. Juventus`s stated asking price for the player could be quite appealing to potential suitors. Securing Vlahovic would reportedly cost 30 million euros, a figure that naturally attracts the attention of clubs targeting him. Despite facing challenges this season, scoring 14 goals in 38 appearances (averaging a goal every 181 minutes), his age (having turned 25 in January) suggests he is absolutely worth the investment. Barcelona are rumored to be interested, and clubs from the Premier League should also be monitored.

Should Dusan Vlahovic depart from Turin, Juventus would immediately need to find a replacement, and there will be no room for error in this crucial decision. Many potential candidates are being evaluated, and making the wrong choice is unacceptable, especially as the entire attacking department could potentially undergo significant changes. This is because Randal Kolo Muani`s stay is not guaranteed, even though discussions with Paris Saint-Germain are already on the management`s agenda. The Frenchman arrived on a dry loan in January, with PSG promising to resume talks with Juventus at the end of the season. Giuntoli will attempt to negotiate another loan deal, this time potentially including an option or perhaps a conditional obligation to buy, and it is certainly not impossible that PSG might agree to these terms. In conclusion, the focus is first on the league campaign and securing Champions League qualification, followed by the transfer market. Juventus`s future journey has already begun.
