Devincenzi on Bonny Transfer Speculation

Francesca Devincenzi, a journalist and director of Parmapress24, provided commentary on Parma affairs during an interview on the radio program `1 Football Club`.

Asked about Chivu`s lineup choices for the upcoming match:

Devincenzi stated that the lineup was not straightforward because coach Chivu had several players recovering during the week. While the formation was somewhat constrained earlier in the week, he now has more options available. She suggested a probable lineup would include: Suzuki; Delprato, Leoni, Balogh; Hainaut, Hernani, Keita, Sohm, Valeri; Pellegrino, Bonny.

On whether Cristian Chivu might be motivated by his past at Inter for the match against Napoli:

Devincenzi described Chivu as a very level-headed person. She believes his primary motivation is Parma`s need for at least one point to secure their safety. According to her, he is highly focused on the current situation and his team`s immediate requirements. While acknowledging that personal allegiances exist in football and he might find satisfaction in helping Inter by achieving a positive result against Napoli, she stressed that this is likely a secondary consideration. She suggested that focusing on personal history might become a factor only if Parma were already safe, but currently, it`s not a priority.

Regarding whether Napoli has taken concrete steps for Bonny:

Devincenzi confirmed that Napoli did show concrete interest, making an initial approach early in the season after the first leg match. However, she stated that the only formal offer received by Parma to date is from Inter, reportedly valued at 20 million euros plus a player exchange. Juventus had only made an inquiry. Devincenzi anticipates Bonny will be a key figure in the upcoming transfer market. She estimates Parma`s valuation for the player will likely be no less than 25-28 million euros, which will also depend on the outcome of the current season and the club`s objectives for the next. While the club president has the financial means to refuse sales, potential player dissatisfaction must also be considered. Given Bonny is just 21 years old and in his first Serie A season, his significant potential for growth justifies a high valuation.
