Former Italian coach Delio Rossi recently shared his views with Lalaziosiamonoi.it ahead of the upcoming Serie A match between Lazio and Juventus at the Stadio Olimpico. He offered a critical analysis of both teams, particularly focusing on Juventus`s current form.
Rossi stated, “Lazio has only one objective: to win. Juventus, on the other hand, appears somewhat disorganized. While they possess good players, some may not be performing at the expected level. Their approach seems to rely more on sheer aggression than on a clear, defined tactical plan. Given their current state, at this precise moment, I would honestly prefer to manage Lazio rather than Juventus.”
He also offered tactical predictions for the match. “I anticipate [Nicolo] Rovella will play in a supporting role behind the main striker, and I expect Juventus to deploy a 3-5-2 formation,” Rossi commented. “I don`t believe Igor Tudor will start with two traditional strikers, especially considering Juventus holds the head-to-head advantage over Lazio, meaning a draw could be a satisfactory result for them. However, for Lazio, there`s no room for calculation now. They must absolutely get something positive from this game. Therefore, this is the most important match, and they must approach it with the intensity of a final. If they don`t secure a victory, any other subsequent reasoning becomes futile.”
