Journalist Enrico Varriale shared his thoughts on the possibility of Kevin De Bruyne transferring to Napoli, calling it a “difficult dream to realize.”
Commenting on X, Varriale suggested that such a high-profile move would strongly indicate that Napoli`s owner, Aurelio De Laurentiis (Adl), is genuinely committed to meeting coach Antonio Conte`s requirements. According to Varriale, securing a player of De Bruyne`s caliber would signify that the club is prepared to invest significantly to achieve the top-level quality desired by the new coach, sparing no expense.
He also added a remark about the Belgian midfielder`s age, noting that despite being 34, De Bruyne could potentially play “until 42” given the typical pace and demands of Italy`s Serie A.
