The first leg of the Coppa Italia semi-final derby between Milan and Inter ended in a 1-1 draw at San Siro. It was a lively match with both teams playing attacking football.

Inter started the first half strongly, but Milan gradually gained control, creating danger through Leao, who was stopped by Martinez. Inter threatened Maignan`s goal with a Frattesi header, but the Milan goalkeeper made a good save. The first half remained goalless.

In the second half, Milan played better and took the lead in the 47th minute. Abraham cleverly created space in the box with a feint and shot past Martinez.

Inter coach Inzaghi responded by bringing on Zalewski and Mkhitaryan, reshuffling the starting midfield.

In the 67th minute, Calhanoglu equalized with a powerful long-range shot. Inter threatened several times afterwards, but Maignan was in excellent form and saved every attempt.

Milan also pushed for a winner, coming close with Leao in the 85th minute. The second leg will be played at San Siro on Wednesday, April 23rd.
