Colonnese: “Allegri at Napoli? A Guarantee for a Top Club”

`Francesco

Former footballer Francesco Colonnese spoke on TMW Radio during the program `Maracanà`, sharing his thoughts on potential managerial changes and transfer market moves for Napoli.

Regarding Napoli and De Bruyne: Is there any truth to the rumors?
“I don`t know,” he replied. “Knowing [Napoli President] ADL, it`s a salary outside the budget. Based on the transfer market activity up until recently, I see it as an impossible deal.”

So Napoli will be able to invest heavily to compete in the Champions League as well. Would it then be convenient for ADL to stay with Conte?
“He`s a coach on whom he has invested heavily. For me, in the end, they (De Laurentiis and Conte) know whether they will continue together. If Conte chose Napoli and signed a three-year contract, knowing he`ll have funds to invest, I don`t believe he will leave. Also because there aren`t many clubs out there that can invest such figures in the transfer market. Perhaps Inter, I`m not sure about Milan or Juventus. Conte is aware that Napoli can invest significantly, specifically by acquiring strong players.”

How would you view Allegri potentially joining Napoli?
“He`s a reliable coach, a guarantee. He is accustomed to managing top teams. If Conte were to leave, I would anticipate Allegri as a candidate; he`s well-suited to managing an environment like Napoli`s. He`s one of the strongest potential candidates. However, I remain convinced that Conte will stay for another year. Of course, if the positive relationship were to break down after his meeting with the president, I`d see Allegri as the one.”
